Who is MW Harris?

 MW Harris is a wife, mother, attorney, speaker and author of children’s books on adoption. 

“God’s Promise,”  Harris’ debut children’s book, is the first book in the Forever Isaac series and details how 5-year old Isaac learns he grew in his parent’s hearts and not his mother’s stomach. It debuted in May of 2019 on Amazon as the #1 new release in children’s adoption books. Her second book, "Forever Isaac: God's Special Gift" was released in March of 2020.  Both books are available on Amazon.

Harris was encouraged to write the children’s books series while searching for books she and her husband could read to explain adoption to their son. Disappointed by the lack of diverse characters within the books she found, Harris decided to create what she wanted to see: books containing characters that reflected her son and her family. 

A 1998 graduate of Florida A&M University's School of Business and Industry and a 2001 graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, Harris is currently an in-house attorney for an industry leading and award-winning media company. 

A frequently requested speaker, Harris brings a refreshing mix of humor, unfiltered honesty, energy and enthusiasm to wide ranging and often sensitive topics such as equity, diversity and inclusion, and her struggles to become a mother.  

She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and The Links, Incorporated. Harris is married and is the proud mother of a 7-year old son, bonus mom to three daughters, and most recently a grandmother.
